He uses the rare Maple Trees choosen from his sugar bush to reinforce the essential organic character in the Art Nouveau. An ingenious hidden rail system allows the chair to slide back and forth.

Description

History – Inspiration

 After a visit at the Nancy School in France, Robert discovers the style «Art Nouveau». He is fascinated by this new Art and decides to create a New Line of master pieces, inspired by this period of time. Art Nouveau is defined with «sculptured material with umbelliferous rounded forms».  

Details of woodcraft & sculpture

 Creation with a special design with rounded Finnish on all parts of this desk. Upper part: 3 drawers and 3 smaller drawers Middle part: Plateau sculptured with rounded forms and a leather band. On each side, beautiful water lily sculptured. Legs of the desk are sculptured in the form of Water Lily flowers. A padded movable chair with 3 legs is integrated in the base of the desk.

Érable à sucre

From the Robert Lefebvre's vast maple grove, these large trees produce the famous Quebec maple syrup. They are dried standing ie incised on their circumference until an advanced drying at the end of a year. Then the planks which are drawn from it are dried an additional three years for a perfect stability of the pieces of furniture.

Érable piqué

Maple with marks of insect bites. Used in cabinet making to provide particular effects of patterns.

Finition

In vegetable dye and water colors. Finishing varnish in oil.
